Bensonhurst Veterinary Care

UPDATE: The owner’s response contains inaccurate information. This appointment was not made “the night before.” It was scheduled approximately two weeks in advance, which I have now attached screenshots confirming. The voicemail I received did not mention a late fee. It stated that my appointment would be CANCELLED after a 5 minute grace period, which was directly shared with the manager privately. At this point, I believe the tone of the owner’s public response and the back and forth defensiveness speaks for itself, and only reinforces my original concerns regarding professionalism and bedside manner. ORIGINAL: This was the last straw for me. Every visit recently has felt rushed and rude, but today’s experience crossed the line. I communicated multiple times that I was actively on my way to my dog’s 10:30 appointment and arriving from Staten Island. Despite that, I received repeated calls while driving threatening cancellation of the appointment (10:37am). The employee, who identified herself as “Taylor” on voicemail and “Sabrina” in person, stated their grace period was only 5 minutes before cancelling the appointment. I then had to call back again while parking to reassure them I was there and walking over. When I arrived, the office was empty aside from one client finishing payment, yet the first thing I was told was that I would be charged a late fee. Multiple staff members then argued with me simultaneously instead of attempting to calmly handle the situation professionally. By the time I walked in, I was visibly shaking from the stress, and even my dog became unusually stressed and had an elevated temperature during the visit. Policies are one thing. Professionalism, compassion, and common sense are another. I will not be returning.

Absol best staff in any Vets office or hosp weve experienced!

I'm so happy to have such a good Vet right by my house. In typical cat fashion, our babies are terrified of the vet. The staff makes sure my cats are as comfortable as possible. Their yearly check-up is always a smooth experience.

They can’t give u a 2 minute phone call to discuss your pets situation and instead they email u once a day and then don’t respond till the next day or even respond back. I will never go here again

had such an amazing experience at the vet with my dog Diesel! From start to finish, everything was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine kindness. A huge thank you to Lenni for going above and beyond — you made both me and Diesel feel so comfortable and at ease. It’s not always easy bringing your pet in, but your patience, compassion, and attention to detail truly made all the difference. Diesel was treated like family, and that means everything to me. I’m so grateful for the outstanding service and support. Highly recommend — definitely a 5-star experience!
