I called this veterinary clinic earlier today (4/29/2026 at 2:33 PM) to schedule my first-ever appointment for my kitten. I asked very basic questions - pricing, availability, and services - and was met with one of the most unprofessional and rude receptionists I’ve ever encountered - Edie. First, the clinic requires a deposit, which is totally fine. However, they insisted on taking full card details over the phone, which I am not comfortable with, and I communicated that politely. I offered a simple alternative - sending a payment link so I could pay that way - but was told, “we don’t do that, only over the phone.” That’s fine. I then offered to come in person and pay cash, and was told the appointment would not be scheduled. That was also fine with me, and I said that, but I added that I could still come in person, schedule the appointment, and pay the deposit in cash. The moment I insisted I would come in person, suddenly the appointment was “magically” scheduled. That inconsistency alone is concerning. When I asked about a specific vaccine (first shot of FVRCP for a 2-month-old kitten), I was told, “we don’t have it.” When I asked what vaccination they do carry, the response was, “I don’t know, you have to come.” That’s fine — not all receptionists know that — but then what explains the difference in pricing? I received no answer, however, Edie knew the basic information about my kitty (age, breed). Okay, I still wanted to come… I also asked about deworming and pricing and was told “up to $75” with no clarity. When I asked about a specific medication (pyrantel), again the answer was vague and dismissive. Throughout the call, Edie constantly interrupted me, did not allow me to finish a single sentence, and maintained a sarcastic and dismissive tone. Even if a receptionist does not know exact pricing or specific details, that is understandable. However, that does not justify the tone or behavior. There is no reason to interrupt a client or speak in a way that feels like you are upset or irritated with them. Not knowing the name of vaccines or exact prices and giving a range is fine for me, but the rude tone is not acceptable. If someone does not like this job or is not prepared to answer basic questions, I’m not sure a veterinary clinic is the right place for them, especially when animals and clients depend on calm and professional communication. The overall attitude was careless, sarcastic, and borderline mocking. I’m concerned about the behavior toward my animal during the appointment. Is it gonna be the same aggressive and unprofessional? I went to Marine Park Veterinary Group for a second opinion on my dogs eye and they were extremely nice and helpful. My dog is very nervous at the vet and they tried to make him as comfortable as possible. My dog also doesn’t take well to anything being put in his eye and Dr. Montella and his technicians spent time with me trying to figure out the best way for me to treat his eye. I appreciate the attention they gave and I will be continuing to take my dog here as his normal vet!

Love taking my baby here!! He recently had an ear infection and they were able to get that cleared up. Prices are fair and they always follow up after treatment.

doctor doesn’t have a good attitude. they cleverly slide in extra services that you would think are mandatory but they are not. I tried getting a travel certification for my pet but the doctor said he didn’t have the proper license for it…
